The oil-gas separator of the screw air compressor is a crucial component in the entire oil circulation system. Its main function is to separate the lubricating oil mixed in the compression process from the compressed air, ensure the purity of the compressed air, and enable the lubricating oil to be recovered and reused.

The core component of the oil-gas separator is the oil-gas separator core, which is usually made of multiple layers of fine glass fibers. These materials can effectively intercept oil droplets in compressed air. After the oil-gas mixture enters the separator, it first undergoes centrifugal separation. Most of the oil droplets are thrown to the separator wall due to centrifugal force, and then settle to the oil collection tray under the action of gravity.

During the separation process, the oil-gas mixture enters the oil tank along the tangent direction of the outer wall of the oil-gas separator, 80% to 90% of the oil is separated by centrifugation, and the remaining oil droplets are further removed by gravity separation and fiber separation. The separated oil droplets are returned to the oil tank of the compressor through the oil recovery pipeline, and the clean compressed air is discharged through the air outlet pipeline.

The design of the oil-gas separator also takes into account the pressure differential adaptability and can withstand a maximum pressure differential of 0.5M Pa. Excessive pressure differential may cause the separator filter element to rupture and affect the normal operation of the machine. In addition, the metal parts of the oil-gas separator are electroplated to prevent corrosion and ensure its durability.

In terms of maintenance, the oil-gas separator needs to be checked and replaced regularly to ensure the separation efficiency and stable operation of the compressor. Correct use and maintenance of the oil-gas separator is of great significance to improving production efficiency and product quality.
