How should the cooling system of the air compressor be maintained on a daily basis?
Jul 30 , 2024

The daily maintenance of the air compressor cooling system should follow the following steps:

1.Clean the cooler regularly: The air compressor needs to remove dust from the heat dissipation surface every 2,000 hours of operation. You can use a dust gun to blow the cooler until the dust is completely removed. If the dirt is serious, you can remove the cooler and rinse it with water, and finally blow dry the water stains on the surface.

2.Check the cooling water system: ensure that the cooling water is clean and free of impurities, check whether the water flow and pressure are normal, and replace or adjust if necessary.

3.Check cooling fans: Make sure cooling fans are working properly without abnormal noise or vibration, and regularly check the fan's bearings and lubrication.

4.Check the oil cooler: For the oil cooler, check the temperature difference between the inlet and outlet water pipes. Normally, it should be 5-8°C. If it is lower than 5°C, there may be scaling or clogging, which needs to be cleaned.

5.Check the temperature control valve: Make sure the temperature control valve is working properly to maintain the exhaust temperature of the engine head above the pressure dew point to avoid overheating caused by the oil temperature not being able to drop.

6.Drain condensed water: Develop a condensed water drainage schedule based on humidity conditions to ensure that the water in the oil does not emulsify the lubricating oil and affect the safe operation of the machine.

7.Check lubricating oil: Check the quality and oil level of lubricating oil regularly, replace and replenish it in time to ensure good lubrication effect of all parts of the equipment.

8.Install a temperature alarm system: Consider installing a temperature alarm system to monitor the operating temperature of the air compressor in real time. Once the temperature exceeds the set value, the system will automatically sound an alarm.

9.Regular maintenance records: Record the details of each maintenance and inspection, including the inspection date, inspection content, problems found and measures taken, so as to facilitate long-term tracking and management.

Through these maintenance measures, the cooling system of the air compressor can be ensured to work normally in a high temperature environment and the service life of the equipment can be extended.
