Compressed air drying method
Aug 27 , 2024

The main purpose of compressed air drying is to remove moisture from the compressed air to prevent equipment corrosion, reduce efficiency and ensure product quality. The following are several common compressed air drying methods:

1.Freeze drying method: Use the refrigeration system to lower the temperature of compressed air, so that water vapor condenses into water droplets and is discharged.

2.Adsorption drying method: use adsorbents (such as activated carbon, silica gel, molecular sieves, etc.) to adsorb moisture in compressed air.

3.Membrane drying: uses special polymer membranes to filter moisture from compressed air.

4.Pressure dew point drying method: By increasing the pressure of compressed air, the saturated content of water vapor is reduced, causing the water vapor to condense and discharge.

5.Chemical drying method: Use chemical desiccants to react with water to generate other substances to achieve the drying effect.

6.Combined drying method: combining two or more of the above drying technologies to meet different drying requirements.

7.Vacuum drying method: lower the boiling point of water in a vacuum environment, allowing the water to evaporate at a lower temperature.

8.Heating drying method: By heating compressed air, the partial pressure of water vapor is increased to promote water evaporation.

Each drying method has its own application scenarios and advantages and disadvantages. Choosing the right drying method requires considering drying efficiency, cost, equipment complexity, and specific requirements for compressed air quality.
