How the air compressor is lubricated
Sep 28 , 2024

The lubrication of the air compressor is an important part of ensuring its normal operation and prolonging its service life. The lubrication methods of air compressor are mainly as follows:

1.Pressure lubrication: The lubricating oil is delivered to the parts that need to be lubricated at a certain pressure through the oil pump, which is suitable for high-speed air compressor equipment, such as centrifugal air compressors.

2.Splash lubrication: The splashing effect of the moving parts of the air compressor is used to bring the lubricating oil to the parts that need to be lubricated, which is suitable for small air compressor equipment.

3.Injection lubrication: The lubricating oil is sprayed directly into the compressed air, and the gas enters the parts that need to be lubricated, such as screw air compressors.

4.Drip lubrication: Through the oil cup and oil pipeline, the lubricating oil is sent to the parts that need to be lubricated.

5.Oil ring lubrication: The rotating shaft is used to drive the oil ring, and the lubricating oil on the oil ring is brought into the bearing for circulating lubrication.

The role of lubricating oil in air compressors includes reducing friction, reducing wear, preventing corrosion, sealing the working volume of compressed air, and removing heat from friction. Choosing the right lubricant and lubrication method is critical to the performance and longevity of an air compressor.

In order to ensure good lubrication of the air compressor, the following points need to be noted:

1.Selection of lubricating oil: Choose the right lubricating oil according to the type of air compressor, working conditions and manufacturer's recommendation.

2.Lubricating oil replacement: Lubricating oil is changed regularly to keep the lubricant clean and proper viscosity.

3.Inspection of the lubrication system: Regularly inspect the lubrication system to ensure that the oil path is unobstructed and there is no leakage.

4.Oil level monitoring: Maintain proper oil levels to avoid oil levels that are too high or too low.

Proper lubrication of air compressors can significantly improve the efficiency and reliability of equipment and reduce the risk of failure.
